WinSci recently hosted an insightful Life Skills session on Digital Literacy, led by Noor Abdul
Ghani, a final-year Computer Science student at ITU, Teaching Assistant, and Research Intern
at the Intelligent Machines Lab. An alum of LGS 1-A/1, Noor shared her expertise on the
growing significance of digital literacy, emphasizing how essential skills, rather than just
degrees, pave the way for success in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. She also
highlighted career opportunities in freelancing, offering practical guidance on how students can
leverage their digital skills for professional growth. Additionally, Noor introduced WinSci
(Women-In-Science), the platform she founded to inspire women to pursue careers in STEM
and combat the gender gap in these fields. The session sparked great interest among students,
who engaged actively, asking thought-provoking questions that led to a lively discussion about
navigating careers in the digital age.
